Pick Kindly exists to help you discover, compare and choose fewer, better things. That only works if you can trust how a recommendation is made. These are the standards we hold ourselves to — written for a new, independent publication, not an established testing lab.

What earns a place

A product or brand appears here because we believe it is genuinely worth considering — for its materials, its construction, its usefulness, or the way it is made and sold. We would rather publish a short list than a long one.

How we describe our work

Every recommendation carries one of these labels:

  • Personally tested — we used the product ourselves. The piece says for how long and in what conditions. We only use this label when it is true.
  • Research-based — the recommendation comes from materials, specifications, brand policies and published information rather than our own use. As a new publication, most of our picks start here.
  • Editorial comparison — a side-by-side explanation of trade-offs, built from research, to help you choose for your own needs. It is not a test.
  • Sample — content marked as a sample exists only to demonstrate our format. It is not a recommendation.

We do not invent testing, results, personal experience, audience figures or endorsements.

Some links on Pick Kindly are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That income supports the publication.

A commission never decides whether something is recommended, and brands cannot pay to change our editorial conclusions. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be labelled as sponsored. Our full affiliate disclosure explains this in more detail.

Offers and codes

When a brand provides a reader offer, we show it only after confirming it, and we remove it when it expires. We will never turn the site into a coupon directory.

Corrections
